Lupus Signs and Symptoms and The Success of Patient's Treatment

Year 2003 I had a Lupus patient named Amber. He was losing weight so much, got a frown and dried face, she even looked like she was carrying the whole world with her.

I asked her the signs and symptoms she noticed from the day she started feeling unease to her body and her health.

Signs and Symptoms of Lupus for Amber:

Note: Not all Lupus patients have the same signs and symptoms.
  • Always feeling tired even if taking enough sleep, she ate regularly yet tired and feeling pained all the time. Small pain took it like the end of the world. She had loosen her appetite for exercising.
  • Loosing appetite everyday
  • Everytime exposed to sunlight, skin were getting red, itchy and painful.
  • Pained the whole body most of the time even if there was no reason to feel pained. A small bite of an ant made her sick to the bone.
  • The left foot was swelling at first, the next week both feet were enlarged and swelling.
  • Along the fight of the terrible pain, her feet were getting dark everyday and the dark skin color went up to her waist which added more pain.
  • Amber had a hard cough, she took initial treatment (the common medicine for cough) but it didn't work. It's even getting worse day by day.
  • She had a high fever at night and it lowered down during daytime.
These symptoms are one of the basis for a Lupus patients, however, I couldn't come up with the conclusion just yet.

I asked her to do all the tests necessary to confirmed my suspicion. Luckily, Amber was not a hard lady to talk to. She did everything I told her.

After a week, it was confirmed that Lupus Disease is highly-active to Amber.

Steps I made to help her heal Lupus.

  • Sent her to admission for 3 days.

  • Clearing the infections with all the medicines provided.

  • After 3 days, she went home with medicines for maintenance.

Amber was determined to cure her Lupus Disease and she totally devote herself to every detail I told her.

I gave her all the advice to help her heal.

After 6 months, Amber's progress was quite amazing. She maintained  the right vital and good heath to her body which made me decide to cut down some of the maintenance intake.

She consistently showed good progress every month and we both decided to have her follow-ups every six months.

After 2 years, I advice her to take ANA test again if Lupus was still active and just sleeping or any of that...
Luckily, Amber got a negative result and cleared with Lupus. Right after that confirmation, she got pregnant and born a healthy baby boy.

Note: Lupus patients are forbid to get pregnant.
